RSCI Congratulates Dee Coats on the 10
th
Anniversary of Her Heart Stem Cell Treatment
Ten years ago, on July 25, 2005 when she received her first stem cell treatment for chronic heart blockage, Dee Coats thought to herself, “If I get two more good years, that would be nice.”
Nice, indeed. Ten years ago, she was told she didn’t qualify for a clinical study program because the right side of her heart was 95% blocked and the left side about 10-12%. After 8 stents, 15-16 angiograms, 24 angioplasties, and open heart surgery that blocked within 6 weeks, Dee was told there was nothing more the doctors could do, and she felt they were basically just “keeping me going.”

angioplasty, enough was enough for Dee. She knew there was something else out there, and she started searching the Internet for information on stem cell treatments. Four weeks after contacting RSCI and learning that RSCI’s treatments would use her own stem cells, she was at a leading hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
She stayed in Bangkok 14 days, during which time the treatment was done with her own blood, which supported her personal goal of “my own body healing itself.”
The changes were quick and dramatic. Within 2-6 weeks the differences were obvious to Dee and to her husband. She had more color and energy. She didn’t get short of breath when walking. “It was like a whole new life opened for me,” Dee has said.
Dee will tell you, “I am an entirely different person since my stem cell treatments, and I am so grateful for the 10 more years that I got…. so far.” She is on only one medication now, a blood thinner, whereas she was on 8 or 10 before stem cells. “I don’t have all this chemical crap going through my body anymore,” she will tell you proudly. Finally, after all the doom-and-gloom she’d been told at the beginning of her journey, her doctor finally told her he’d never seen such a strong heart muscle.
Because of her stem cell treatments, Dee was alive to take care of her husband during his cancer, and she got to see her great grandchildren born. She is also proud of the title of the first woman in the world to have repaired her heart condition with stem cells.
At 68 years old, after ten active and rewarding years – not “maybe 2” – Dee is happy to report, “I am an entirely different person since my stem cell treatments. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done.”
