This pretty much says it all…

Recently when Don contacted Barbara G. to let her know she’d be contacted because we’d like to include her comments in an article about Don Margolis, she wrote back to tell us about her 80th birthday celebration at a 17-bedroom lodge with her 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She also told us about how successful her son’s recent stem cell treatment for his knee has been: “He had experienced knee pain for ten years, undergoing two orthoscopic procedures. He underwent an adult stem cells procedure and now [one year later] he has no pain and enjoys taking his dog, Sgt. Pepper, for long walks.”

But her most telling comment to Don was, “I would gladly assist in whatever your needs and/or wants are. Miss you. Thanks for saving my life.”

Barbara’s husband Bob was 69 when he had the first stem cell treatment for heart conditions offered by Thera Vitae, Don’s company at the time. He had already endured bypass surgery, then kept getting stents, and then a second bypass. Her son read about stem cells in Fortune Magazine, did some research, and found Thera Vitae. “Based on Don’s very thorough and personal communication, we decided to go to Thailand for treatment.” She was very impressed. “We had never been to Asia, so we were a little nervous, but when we got there, Don took over, and instead of nervous we ended up in awe of everything. The treatment. The professionalism of the doctors and nurses. Just everything. We were in the same hospital as the King.”

Barbara recalls how when they got home to the U.S., Bob could do anything he wanted to – walk, sail, travel to Europe (he carried the luggage). But most of all, “Don’s treatment allowed Bob to know his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

In another recent email, Barbara wrote: “I could not begin to tell you how much I admire Don Margolis. Because of his fortitude in discovering and promoting adult stem cells, we were given five more wonderful years with Bob. Don is still dedicated to helping others realize their value. All I can say is Thank you Don Margolis. You are awesome!”
